This map illustrates how certain features of investment screening mechanisms have evolved over time and differ between both individual countries and groups such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), European Union/Economic Area (EU/EEA), and the intelligence alliance Five Eyes. Currently, the features include the number of mechanisms, types of coverage,  number of sectors with enhanced screenings, lead authorities responsible for the review, inter-agency review prevalence, and number of law changes by each year from 2007 to 2022.
